The community of Glarisegg Castle is being created and comes alive through the individuals who live and work together and share responsibilities for the different aspects of the project. The community is made up of people with different professional backgrounds, such arts and craft, therapeutic professions, pedagogy, theology, alternative therapies, agriculture, IT, management and architecture. We are united by the desire to face our individual responsibility and to help create an environment where new forms of living can be explored and lived. These goals are firmly rooted in the desire to further the spiritual growth of each member and the community as a whole.
Several members of the community are committed to the realisation of the project on a full time basis; others pursue careers outside the community as well. At the same time, there are always a number of volunteers, short-term tenants as well as people who are considering joining a community. Additional support comes from people who commit their skills and input to diverse working groups.
Currently, there are 25 adults and 11 children in the community; they live in their own rooms and flats in one of the five main buildings of Glarisegg Castle.
